Cookie Policy
Last updated 15 July 2026 · Effective 15 July 2026
This policy explains how Classiry uses cookies and similar technologies such as local storage. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy. We keep this simple: Classiry runs no third-party advertising trackers.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a site stores on your device. They let a site remember things between visits, like keeping you signed in or remembering your preferences.
2. Categories we use
- Strictly necessary. Needed for Classiry to work, such as signing you in and keeping your session secure. These cannot be switched off.
- Functional. Remember your choices, like theme or which boards you follow.
- Analytics. First-party, privacy-friendly measurement so we can see how the forum is used and improve it, used only with your consent where required.
We do not set advertising cookies and we do not sell your data.
3. The cookies we set
| Name | Category | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| fng_session | Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in and secures your session | Session / up to 30 days |
| fng_csrf | Strictly necessary | Protects forms and requests from cross-site abuse | Session |
| fng_prefs | Functional | Remembers preferences such as theme and followed boards | Up to 12 months |
| fng_analytics | Analytics | First-party usage measurement (consent-based) | Up to 12 months |
Names may vary slightly as the product evolves; the categories and purposes above are what matter.
4. Consent
Strictly necessary cookies are always on because the service cannot run without them. For analytics cookies, where the law requires it we ask for your consent first and you can change your mind at any time.
5. How to control cookies
You can manage non-essential cookies through the controls we provide, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of Classiry from working.
